AMP Consultants Ltd. was commissioned by Krungthep Thanakom Co. Ltd. to advise on developing and improving the operation of BRT in Bangkok and on the development of design concepts for the implementation of monorail.

The key major tasks were

• physical infrastructure analysis along the BRT route
• development of an initial concept and a proposed action plan for phased improvement of the operation and increase demand on BRT system
• architectural and engineering design concepts; preparation of typical perspectives
  and cross-sections for the upgrading of BRT to monorail
• preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment, and
• preliminary cost estimate implementation of the project.
